Billy loves Mona is an independent studio located in Portland, Oregon featuring the artwork of Nathan Boyer and Sarah-Lynda Johnson. Created in 2008, Billy loves Mona started with some hand drawn images, hand cut stamps, and a lot of time and love in making note cards for friends and holiday gifts. Some networking and a lot of card stock later, their products began appearing on the shelves at New Seasons Market, and their own Etsy Shop.
Both earned BFAs from Marylhurst University, Sarah’s in Photography, Nathan’s in “Arranged Concentration” (whatever that means). Sarah became a librarian. Nathan became a drifter. Their favorite collaboration is their daughter, Ingrid, born in 2009. She’s a trip. One of these days, she’ll make her own note cards to post here. Just wait.
